Hawarden Park Cricket Club was established in 1866 at its present location within the private grounds of the Gladstone Estate in the village of Hawarden, Flintshire, in North Wales. With a backdrop of the ruins of the 11th Century Castle, landscaped gardens leading down to the present Hawarden Castle, home of the former Prime Minister Sir W. Gladstone, and is surrounded by fields and woodland it has been acknowledged by Wisden as being in the top six most attractive grounds in the Great Britain. It is a friendly, welcoming club that encourages new members. The Club has maintained its ECB's Clubmark Accreditation for the third year running, by demonstrating that best practices are in-place to develop and deliver high quality community cricket in safe, effective and child-friendly way.....more
