Hawarden Park Cricket Club has around 100 members and players. The club is located on the grounds of Sir William Gladstone, a descendant of Prime Minister Gladstone; the country's longest serving Prime Minister. The club is steeped in history and dates back to 1866; the club has well documented archives that are regularly updated.

Facilities at the club include grass practice nets, and an artificial strip, which are used weekly for coaching sessions with club coaches. The refurbished pavilion dates back over 100 years, and offers spectators a pleasant viewing lounge and bar. The ground often hosts representative matches, and is in constant use throughout the season.

The Club has around 100 members, including senior players and young cricketers. Cricket practice and teams are provided for both men and women, and both boys and girls. Cricketers of all abilities are encouraged to realise their personal potential and to contribute to team success. All players have access to qualified coaching from a team of ECB - qualified coaches ( levels 1 and 2 ). From 8 years old, children learn to play and enjoy the game with softball Kwik cricket. From under 11 to veterans, there is a full fixture list of competitive league, cup and friendly matches to suit all levels of ability. There are age-group youth squads ( U11, U13 and U15 ) for boys and girls; at senior level, the club has three senior teams, the First XI playing in the North Wales Premier League and the 2nd XI playing in Division 3. On Sunday, a Third XI plays competitive cricket. There is also a midweek team in the Chester and District Mid week league playing 20/20 matches throughout the season. The club also runs a women’s team which plays in the Cheshire Women’s league, we are the only club in North Wales to play competitive women’s cricket

In order to provide a safe environment for children HPCC has a rigorous Child Protection policy, led by the clubs trained Child Welfare Officer and supported by two trained Child Protection Officers ( details can be found in administration section )
